Especies en Peligro de Extinción en el Perú segun ranking EDGE

Hemos seleccionado del ranking elaborado por EDGE las 30 especies que se encuentran en su base de datos y que estarían en diferente grado de peligro de extinsión. Estos animales han evolucionado en los diferentes hábitats de nuestro país.
Nuestro planeta está experimentando un evento de extinción masiva a nivel mundial impulsada por la actividad humana. Distintas especies parecen estar en peligro de extinción más de lo esperado por el accionar humano. La organización EDGE - Evolutionarily Distinct and Globally Endangered ("distintos por evolución y globalmente en peligro") tiene por objeto conservar las diferentes especies evolucionadas y en peligro de extinción mediante acciones de investigación y acciones de conservación necesarias para garantizar su futuro.
Los investigadores de la Sociedad Zoológica de Londres (ZSL) trabajan en estrecha colaboración con científicos de los países en los que se encuentran las especies EDGE.
